Susan Nason was trained by her aunt, author Adele Faber and co-author Elaine Mazlish and has been a facilitator of their “How To Talk So Kids Will Listen, How To Listen So Kids Will Talk” and “Siblings Without Rivalry” workshops for over 30 years. She recently retired from her position as Assistant to the Director of The First Presbyterian Church Nursery School where she worked for 35 years; her position included working with parents as the school’s Parent Educator and working with teachers to facilitate a harmonious atmosphere in their classrooms. Susan has a thriving domestic and international Parent Counseling practice specializing in exploring conscious parenting employing therapeutic and practical approaches to the challenges of raising children. Susan teaches concrete and effective communication skills to parents of children of all ages.
She has facilitated workshops at the Ackerman Institute for the Family, the Seleni Institute, Bowery Babes, All Souls Church School, The Brick Church School, First Presbyterian Church Nursery School, Barrow Street Nursery School, Rockefeller Children’s School, Ross Global Academy, Girl’s Prep, Chelsea Day, and Beit Rabban. She conducts teacher trainings in and around the tri-state area. She has been a speaker for the Parents’ League, Hudson River Park Mama’s and other organizations and schools.
Most importantly, she brings her love and compassion of being a proud mother and ecstatic grandmother to her work with parents and children.
